The 'Heart of Wanganui' project was launched by Wanganui Mayor Michael Laws in late 2006. The aim of the project was to revitalise the town centre by updating the amenities in the Queens Park area.
Wanganui was first settled in 1840 and has grown to a population of over 39000 people. Its beautiful landscape of lakes, rivers and hills make it a wonderful place to raise a family and a very desirable holiday destination.
